Man, there's a question, right? It's not like there's been a struggle for truth since the dawn of man or anything...
But seriously, what we believe as Christians, regardless of denomination, has been a subject of real controversy throughout the 2 millenia since the birth of Christianity.
It even shows up in the New Testament, written only a few short years after Jesus death and ressurection:
Galatians 2:
11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. 12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore.
Sure, some of the topics of disagreement have changed, but the conflict is still there, and at its root there is the simple question: What is truth?, and it's a great question to ask. Without getting into some of the less important but more inflammatory categories of doctrinal dispute...
Salvation:
All have sinned and may be saved (Romans 3), through Jesus' sacrifice alone (Acts 4:12)
Communion:
All Christians are welcome to take communion at the RO4C.
